Our resident gnome Barry loves to travel. Although Barry is originally from Ireland he only buys Australian made gnome wear. He may seem cold as stone but he is a sensitive gnome with principles.
His fondness for vintage handwoven straws developed after spending years among tall (and mown) grasses in gardens around the world. Barry now enjoys his retirement at axel mano trimming and steaming straws, adorning webbing bags and amusing passing customers with his window antics.
He drinks decaf, travels by barrow and is currently reading the entire works of Tolstoy.

our hats are made from hand woven straws sourced from Italy. This fine grade of straw doesn't really exist anymore and makes our hats pretty unique.

we like little details - printed linings, hand stitching, grosgrain ribbon, fun trims, binding and buttons.
